If this does not solve the speed issue, then your computer is probably has numerous issues that involve corrupt files, registry issues, possibly hidden viruses, etc.  One way to make sure that your computer run like or close to new, I recommend to do a 'Wipe & Clean'.  This consists of me backing up all of your important files (documents, music, pictures, email, favorites, etc.).  Wiping your system clean by doing a full format of your hard drive.  Re-install your operating system, including the latest upgrades and service packs, then restoring all of your important files.  Sometimes installed programs will need to be reinstalled.  If I have them, I will reinstall them for you.  If I do not have them, you may need to reinstall them yourself.  I should be able to set up your dial-up Internet service for you, but any passwords associated with your computer will be left up to you to place back in the proper locations.
